Nine times out of ten if you ask someone what it is they do at the gym it will sound fantastic, they've read a few magazines, maybe some books, and they follow a number of self proclaimed 'experts' on social media, they know what they're doing, or more to the point they think they know what they're doing.
BUT when it comes to training it's less about WHAT you do and more about HOW you do it, and in all honesty the majority of people just ain't doing it right!
This is for the most part why I don't simply write out programs and instead opt for templates that can be tweaked and adjusted according to the individual.
And it's also why if someone tells me they do (x,y,z) I simply say 'SHOW ME' and it's at that point they don't want it, because;
That I know,
They don't know what they're doing!
I get this with gym members AND personal trainers all the time!
Although that may seem a bit harsh IT'S THE TRUTH and in reality it's a problem that's easily solved.
On that note here's a few videos I recommend you watch in order to iron out your technique on some of the key exercises you may come across when training in the gym.
Granted you're not going to master anything by simply watching a 5-10 minute video on YouTube but you may pick up some info-nuggets and knowledge-bombs that prove invaluable.
