I signed up to do Tough Mudder for motivation to get back into the gym and decided to train with Des to help get me ready; after a few months of strength training I was achieving more than I ever thought possible.
In the gym I can now squat and deadlift more than my bodyweight and do full range push ups, on my toes, in sets of ten. In circuit classes I'm even motivated to push myself and lift the same weights as some guys. When it came time to do Tough Mudder I smashed it, felt strong, and completed obstacles I had earlier resigned to fail. |

So I went to Desmond looking to improve my core strength, squat and deadlift technique in order to lift heavier weights. Within the first session Desmond quickly picked up on the key areas where I was weakest and suggested a few things I could do to improve my weightlifting technique, in our second session I went from a 70kg personal best on the deadlift to 82.5kg, and within a few weeks that went up to 92.5kg!
Desmond is a pro and knows his stuff inside out, I have already learnt so much from him in such a short period of time and continue to learn something new every session. |

Before I started any kind of training with Des I was stuck in a rut, I thought I was eating healthy but I wasn’t losing any weight plus I had crazy cravings on a regular basis. With Des's help I became more aware of what I put in my mouth and how it affects me, as well as how to lose weight properly and keep it off long-term.
Weight aside, I've noticed a huge difference in my shape! I had a pair of jeans which used to be too tight, but are now way too big for me! I also went from struggling to do one press up to being able to do ten without stopping! |

Since training with Des I have achieved goals that I wouldn't have even set a year ago, completing a Tough Mudder and learning how to do one arm press ups have been highlights.
Des really knows how to get results and keeps training fresh by regularly introducing me to new goals and exercises. Because of this I am probably the strongest I have ever been and enjoying my training more as I continue to improve. |
